We are all called upon to speak in public at any moment. At some point in your career, you will need to engage in conversation in some form or capacity through sales calls, business conferences, weekly meetings and even weddings. This call to step up and speak is often linked to professional success and advancement. However, many people find the experience draining and terrifying, or remain unsatisfied with their own ability to engage in conversation and/or sway the audience. This course will help you work outside your comfort zone to succeed in public speaking or if you are already comfortable in public speaking give you tools to do it better.
We will cover the basics you need to know to perform public speaking correctly and concisely. It will also provide the tools and insight into understanding your customer/client/audience in order to provide a speech that is direct, impactful and informative. There will be a brief discussion around the use of technology (do’s and don’ts) and finish with an individual exercise assessing what you have learned from the course.
